USFWS Waterfowl Reports

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) has released two new reports concerning waterfowl in North America.

The latest USFWS Waterfowl Population Status Report summarizes the status of duck, goose, and swan populations in North America for 2013.

A recent USFWS Trends in Duck Breeding Populations report summarizes information about the status of breeding duck populations and wetland habitat conditions during the spring of 2013.

The information is a result of the cooperative efforts by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife and Canadian Wildlife Services’ Waterfowl Breeding Population and Habitat Survey, which samples of more than two million square miles of waterfowl habitat encompassing the primary breeding areas of North America.
