Canvasback ducks will be featured on the 2014-2015 USA Federal Duck Stamp. In September, Adam Grimm, of Burbank, S.D., won the 2013 Federal Duck Stamp Art Contest with his oil painting of a pair of canvasbacks.
Grimm’s painting was selected from a field of 201 other entrants. Second place went to Hoyt Smith, of Tulsa, Okla., and third place went to Ron Louque, of Charlottesville, Va.
The 2013 Federal Duck Stamp Contest was held at the Maumee Bay State Park and Conference Center, in Oregon, Ohio. The U.S. Federal Duck Stamp program raises money for wetlands conservation.
